Anthrocon has brought in 2 ½ million dollars in Pittsburg in one year. That’s 2 ½ in FIVE DAYS! Most of that goes back to the city. FurCon has contributed money to it’s city too. Every city or town with a convention in it has gained from it. Furry Cons bring economic growth and tourism to the communities in which they are held. Those communities boom!!! That’s how powerful The Fandom is. And the figures above…that is just at the cons! Think about all the restaurants eaten at, cabs paid for, and merchandise bought outside of the cons! Your city is lucky if you have a con in it.
Imagine! A huge group of people who will spend huge amounts of cash on homemade drawings and nylon fabric tails. WHY HASN’T ANYONE CAPITALIZED ON THIS!?!?!?!?
